Google’s URL Parameters Tool Is Being Discontinued from This Month

Google confirmed in a recent release that the URL Parameters Tool in the search engine would be decommissioned from this month. Users won’t be able to utilize the tool after April 26, 2022. The company Google has stated that Google’s crawlers will now handle URL parameters with the help of automation and that existing URL Parameters Tool customers will not need to take any action.

It is a quick and easy way to check any URL and an effective tool for web developers to debug their pages. This tool also helps SEO specialists with their work by identifying duplicate content on the web. In simple words, Google URL Parameters Tool is a tool that can help with the debugging of URLs. Why did Google decide to sunsetting the URL Parameters Tool?

From now on, Google recommends utilising robots.txt guidelines to have more command over how search engines and URL parameters interface. Utilising a better CMS and paying more attention to your relevant content can aid your website as it transitions. Use the ahref lang tag for specifying language variants of a site’s content for the sites containing regional languages.
