Vaccine Records Now Can Be Added to Apple Health by iPhone Users

Apple Health is a health and fitness app Apple introduced in September 2014. This app collects users’ health data from their iPhone, Apple Watch, and other health apps. It also offers personalized coaching to help users achieve their fitness goals. Now, you can store your COVID-19 immunization card in Apple Wallet and utilize it to confirm that you’ve been fully vaccinated.

You can save verifiable versions of COVID-19 vaccination, recovery certificate, and test result in the Apple Health record app. A health authority or provider digitally signs vaccination, test result, and related documents retrieved in this certified format. This is quite the same as affixing an official seal on paper documents. A tick in the Apple Health record app indicates verifiable health records. This suggests that the vaccination record has remained unchanged since it was produced.

Guideline to add vaccination record to Apple Health

Guide 1: If you have received a QR code from the COVID-19 vaccination provider, you can add your variable health records to the app by scanning it. First, follow these steps,

Home Screen > Camera App > Control Center / Lock Screen > Rear-facing camera.

Then scan the QR code, and a notification will show on the health app on iPhone. Click on the information. And after that, to add the verifiable records of vaccinations on the Apple Health app, click on Add to Wallet & Health and then Done.

Guide 2: In case you have saved your QR code as an image, then also you can quickly scan the QR code from the image with the help of the Live Text in the Photos app. First, open the Photos app and then click on the QR image. After that, you need to tap and hold the QR code in the image. When you get an option for ‘Open in Health,’ select that. And after that, to add the verifiable records of vaccinations on the Apple Health app, click on Add to Wallet & Health and then Done.

Guide 3: If you have received a file for download by the COVID-19 vaccination provider, you can also easily download the file and add the records on the health app on your iPhone. Tap the download link to download the file on your iPhone. And then it is easy, just like the last step stated in the previous section. Click on Add to Wallet & Health and then Done.

Guide 4: Now, what if you find your health records in your Apple Health app? How can you find it? First, open the Apple Health app. Select Summary on the left-hand side, bottom. And under vaccination record, select ‘Add to Wallet’. Then done.

These are a few simple steps to save essential files of COVID-19 vaccination in the Apple Health record app. Apple Health app download is relatively easy; you can download it from Apple Store. And the Apple Health App is free for iPhone users.
